BOJ: We Will Inflate Our Way Out of Earthquake Damages

To a central banker, printing more money seems to be the solution to every crisis.

The Bank of Japan has set up an emergency task force and said it will do everything to provide liquidity. The central bank said its settlement system was working and that it was able to settle all accounts without disruption.

BOJ inflation policy makers will hold a policy board meeting on Monday, March 14 and announce their decision on the same day instead of the following day, which is the standard procedure.
