Billionaire Warren Buffett will help raise money for President Barack Obama's re-election effort at a $35,800-a-ticket fundraiser next month in Chicago, an Obama campaign official said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Buffett will attend the Oct. 27 event at a private home on Chicago's North Shore. Obama is not expected to attend. It will be a Buffett show.
Clearly, Buffett has gone gaga over Obama. The mystery remains why. Buffett is a powerful enough oligarch to influence any administration, Democrat or Republican. He cut his Goldman Sachs deal under the Bush Administration. Is he completely selling out simply because a confused President with egalitarian leanings is paying a little attention to him? It would be less embarrassing if Buffett found himself a semi-decent 20-year old, who wanted a boob job.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Buffet is senile. He's just badly wrong on economics (no, Keynesianism does not work) and completely naive about politics (hint: they are all liars and thieves.)
ReplyDeleteI think he means well, but he's is so horrible mistaken about the need for any government intervention (from either democrats or republicans.) I hope he stops this political stuff, as the policies he supports are harmful to everyone.
