"A Greater Merkel Europe"

They are going for it.

It appears that the elitist/globalists are going to use the current financial crisis in Europe as a platform from which to create a Greater Merkel Europe.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is calling for countries to give up more powers to Europe ‘‘step by step’’ and says a ‘‘political union’’ is needed as leaders prepare for a closely watched summit later this month, reports AP.

Merkel appeared on Germany's ARD public television’s breakfast show and advanced the power grab:
‘‘We need more Europe’’ — but did not offer details on how, or how quickly, she was willing to embrace new measures other countries are asking her to accept, reported AP.

‘‘We need not just a currency union; we also need a so-called fiscal union, more common budget policies. And we need above all a political union,’’ she added. ‘‘That means that we must, step by step as things go forward, give up powers to Europe as well.’’
This could be the death of Western Europe, central planning is bad, super central planning is real bad. Just decades after the fall of the Soviet Union-a super centrally planned state-Merkel wants to build a new one.

The East German government, the German Democratic Republic, may have been on to something, when they built the Berlin Wall and called it the "Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart".

  1. And she of all people should know better, given what country she leads, and its history!

  2. Here's a great idea...

Create a centralized political state...with the implication that each state can secede if they feel the need to.

Abraham Lincoln was a big fan...especially when he was in Congress:

“Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, a most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can, may revolutionize, and make their own of so much of the territory as they inhabit.”

    What can go wrong?

  3. I can't say I agree with everything within this video, the association of the EU with the nazis is overdrawn. But. But around 5:00 minutes in it discusses the use of economic scares to break Irish resistance to joining the EU. It looks as if the eurocrats learned some tactics for future use.

    See video here.

    1. No, its much more insidious than the Nazis since it isn't nearly so blatantly evil.

  4. Globalist SOP.

Of course they are going for it: Out of chaos ... order.

They never want a serious (manufactured) crisis to go to waste ...
