The Senate (Including Rand Paul) Vote to Extend $9 Billion in Loan Guarantees for the Benefit of Israel

Martin Hill reports:

Have you heard about the the "United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012"? It was introduced by Senator Barbara Boxer on 3/6/12 with 71 Cosponsors.

The House passed their version [H.R.4133] on May 9, pledging unlimited loyalty and riches to our "special friend" Israel, with only two congressman dissenting- Ron Paul and Democrat John Dingell of Michigan.

The U.S. Senate passed their version on Friday June 29, 2012. Known in the Senate as S.2165, the measure guaranteed an astonishing $9 billion dollars in loans to Israel (plus all fees and interest!) in addition to giving "military assistance- stockpiles of defense articles" valued at $200 million for 2013 and $200 million for 2014.

Boxer praised passage of the bill, stating "I am so pleased that the Senate moved quickly to pass this important bill, which reaffirms the important bond between the United States and Israel and helps ensure that Israel has the necessary tools to defend itself in this time of dynamic change in the Middle East."

Initially seeking documentation of which way turncoat Rand Paul voted on this treasonous bill, I tried to find the roll call votes. But as Harry Reid pointed out during the session, "THE NEXT ROLL CALL VOTE WILL BE AT NOON ON TUESDAY, JULY 10". The Senators passed this bill anonymously, in a so-called "voice vote"!...

After tracking down the actual video of this travesty, which was no easy task- (they seem to make these things hard to find on purpose)- it was like watching something straight out of the twilight zone. Two old guys in suits mumbling under their breath in a strange monotone fashion, with the entire U.S. Senate taking literally less than six seconds total to squander 9 BILLION DOLLARS from the American people. A true outrage. They did not even call out each Senators name so that their constituents can hear whether they voted yea or nay.

Confirming Rand Paul's support of this bill was Senator Johnny Isakson of Georgia, who said "I am very pleased that this important piece of legislation passed quickly and unanimously in the Senate today, demonstrating the United States' strong, unwavering commitment to Israel and its security and self-defense."

Several other alleged small-government "Tea Party" types supported this bill as well, including Freshman Senator Mike Lee of Utah, who was a cosponsor of the bill, and Congressman Justin Amash, who voted for the House version of the bill on May 9th. In reality, it is absurd to contend that anyone who even nods to the notion of limited Constitutional government would for one second consider guaranteeing $9 billion dollars in loans to anyone, ever.

The bill will soon be sent to Obama for his signature. By going to http://thomas.loc.gov and typing the term United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act of 2012 in the search box, one can read full details on both the house and senate versions of this bill.

The Senate version summary states that

"it is U.S. policy to: (1) reaffirm the commitment to Israel's security as a Jewish state, (2) provide Israel with the military capabilities to defend itself and help preserve its qualitative military edge, (3) expand military and civilian cooperation, (4) assist in a negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that results in two states living side by side in peace and security, and (5) encourage Israel's neighbors to recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state.
Expresses the sense of Congress that the United States should take specified actions to assist in Israel's defense.
Amends the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2005 to extend authority to transfer certain obsolete or surplus Department of Defense (DOD) items to Israel.
Amends the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to extend authority to make additions to foreign-based defense stockpiles.
Amends the Emergency Wartime Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2003 to extend specified loan guarantee authority to Israel.
The law required that a Senate report be done on the bill. The law required that a Senate report be done on the bill. On June 27, two days before the voice vote, Skull and bones member John Kerry presented the obligatory "written report No. 112-179"...

The report states "That the interest rate for loans guaranteed under this heading may include a reasonable fee to cover the costs and fees incurred by the borrower in connection with this program", but then goes on to state "That funds made available for assistance to Israel under chapter 4 of part II of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, may be utilized by the Government of Israel to pay such fees to the United States Government"!

So we can charge them interest and fees on the $9 billion dollars, but then let them use our money to pay the fees!

  2. Anyone that does not recognize they have us by the balls, is just not paying attention. The question is why - how do they have the ability to steal 9B behind our backs, from a government that is literally drowning in debt. Blackmail? Threat to bring down our financial system? Our government? What?

These people need our help like they need a hole in the head. They are more than capable of defending themselves, and have enough bombs to flatten the entire Middle East. They are now widely perceived as the source of many false flag operations and not near as friendly as they want everyone to believe. What gives?

    Thoughts???

    1. I'm increasingly of the opinion that Mossad, which is an extremely effective and ruthless intelligence service, has had plenty of time to amass extensive dossiers on just about everyone in government. Combined with the fact that politicians are not known for their impulse control, it can't be hard to manipulate key people into voting the way they want.

    2. I agree on the blackmail issue, as regards both personal blackmail against senators for whatever sexual peccadilloes they may have, or whatever it is they are worried about having exposed, as this has been a factor in the decisions of politicians bringing entire nations into both WWI and WWII.

The other type of blackmail of course is the 'Samson Option', the threat of nuclear annihilation by Israel against every other country in the world, if the world does not comply and protect Israel against any existential threat. Our gutless politicians (if they were not Jewish) would actually have the balls to deal with this.

It is a case of the slaves having to die along with the Pharaoh, or the slaves all having to die if they fail their rightful master in their asserted obligation to their rightful master, under the understanding of the highly dubious Christian and Judaic belief systems, both of which are entirely redundant in truth, as well as Islam, for their mindless acceptance to be party to the eternal and unceasing torture of all non-adherents to their particular gangster belief systems in fire or boiling excreta, or whatever turns those psychos on.

These religions are the most clear example of communal acute psychosis in the history of the entire planet. I belief all Abrahamic cults are an extremely dangerous mental illness because of their threat to torture all other beings for eternity in this way, and think they should be banned by law.

Israel? It should be declared non-legal due to the non-historicity of the holocaust on which it's foundation is based, and because of it's persistent illegality in disobeying all UN edicts for decades as regards handing back stolen territories and as regards the refusal by Israel to stop the illegal invasion of neighbouring territory by what can only be described as terrorism, or robbery with murderous violence, genocide in fact.

All Israeli Jews should be sent, accompanied safely by UN peacekeeping troops (they would meet no resistance) to Birobidzan, a territory specially created for them as a secure homeland by Stalin in 1934, the size of Switzerland. After that, they would need no further nuclear weapons to 'defend themselves'.

    3. Virtually every temple and Rabbi in the USA is mossad. They spend as much time spying on their own people to keep them in line as the rest of us. I think support for Israel comes with a lot of positive media coverage as the media is owned by Zionists, and with a lot of money and our politicians are 98 % lawyers, aka whores, they take it. Plus they do have dirt on people. Look at the Mossad's control of Bill Clinton with Monica Lewinsky whose parents are very tightly connected to Israel. Or how about Chandra Levy and Congressman Condit? How about the Jewish boyfriend of Governor Jim McGreevy? Israel has 400 nukes? When is enough , enough? Their military is far better equipped than ours, and we are forced to pay for it.

  3. Amash recants his original support for the bill:

    http://www.facebook.com/repjustinamash/posts/399961023376643

"I have reconsidered my support for any bill like H.R. 4133, as it pertains to ANY country, in the future.

I recognize that there is a lot of misinformation about this bill. It does only one genuinely substantive thing: It extends an existing line of credit for about three more years. This is not additional funding and certainly not "unlimited aid."

I also disagree with commenters who believe that foreign MILITARY aid and alliances are unconstitutional. If the U.S. government concludes that they are beneficial to OUR defense, then they certainly are constitutional as a Necessary and Proper correlate of Congress's power to raise and support Armies. This has been the view in our country from the Founders on.

However, as a policy matter, I believe that the U.S. should not extend credit (or aid) to another country on an ongoing basis through legislation. It's time for the U.S. to stop acting as a bank to the rest of the world. After all, with Congress and the President refusing to make any substantial changes to our spending policies, our government simply doesn't have any money to lend."

Very disappointed, although this appears to be his first major blunder (to my knowledge). Hopefully, nothing else like this in the future.

Did he just say that? Because it's military aid and not economic aid and because the U.S. government "concludes" that it's beneficial to "our" defense then it's constitutional? Give me a break. And therefore it's "necessary and proper" to raise and supports armies...in/for other countries...

      Right...

  4. There is no such thing as a blunder.

These people are highly educated and know damn well what they're doing. If they voted in favor of something it is because they either truly believe in it, or because it was good for their careers.
And if it was in some way the result of political pressure, then they have no backbone.

Whichever way you put it, it is simply another on a mountain of evidence that virtually no politician can be trusted with liberty.

As usual, the only one with a backbone is a man with decades of consistency: Ron Paul.
The rest are statists, without exception, plain and simple.

Our country has been hijacked by "israel-firsters" who look out for the interests of israel, even if their "interests" are detrimental to the USA.
Our country is loaded with "dual-nationality" israelis that don't give a damn about the USA, their "benefactor".
These same people and their "fellow travelers" use the "holocaust" and "anti-semitism" cards to defuse any opposition to their policies.
Folks, just as the black "race card" is "played out" so are the jewish "holocaust" and ""antisemitism" cards . . .

    2. Ron Paul proves you wrong.

Again, any other politician is voting for loan because they believe in it, because it furthers their career, or because they have no backbone.

It is quite possible to be against this loan, provided you have a spine and put principles before a career in the upper echelons of the two-party system.
So again, they have no excuse. No need, even, to complain about AIPAC.
Complaining about AIPAC only minimized the responsibility of the politicians.

  12. With so much total electronic surveillance going on, why should we assume that the lives of the members of Congress are exempt from the snooping? The tens of thousands of laws and regulations out there means that everyone of us, including all the members of Congress, is at one time or another, wittingly or unwittingly guilty of a felony. Seen in this light, these unanimous votes should not be surprising. They are being blackmailed! What else can explain the bizarre voting of small government types? Are they really afraid of accusations of anti-semitism from the people back home? I doubt it.

What is ironic about all this is that Congress is itself very likely now the victim of the assaults on the Bill of Rights that it has enthusiastically engineered against us starting with the Patriot Act. I can hardly wait for Obama to have them all arrested and detained indefinitely under the powers of the NDAA which they so generously handed him. It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch!
