How did Romney address War in his big speech? With silence.

By, Chris Rossini

Hey, remember W's 'humble foreign policy' bit?

How about Obama's "take it to the bank"?

Well, in the age of YouTube, such statements can come back to bite you.

It appears Mitt Romney tried a new angle in his big RNC speech, which saw balloons flying every which way....When it came to war, Romney went with --- silence.

That's right. The thinking may be that if Romney doesn't mention the Empire, the American people will forget that it exists!

AP/HuffPo reports that:
Romney was the first Republican since 1952 to accept his party's nomination without mentioning war.
Rather odd for a member of the party of Lincoln.

Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney advisor, indicated to CNN that it would be too much for Romney to mention the wars two days in a row:
"The day before the convention speech, Candy, Governor Romney traveled to Indianapolis on Wednesday and he gave a speech before the American Legion," he said. "Governor Romney thought it was a privilege to be speaking to people who had served so nobly and in that speech, he talked about Afghanistan."
Any American that buys any of this may just be clueless enough to forget that the Empire exists.
