Happy New Year: Your Paycheck Just Got Smaller

The House of Representatives has approved the Senate "fiscal cliff" bill.  For most this will mean at least a 2% payroll tax hike, but who knows what else lurks in the 157 page bill.

Obama lovin' crony Hollywood will, of course, get a tax break.

Below are the 167 congressmen who voted "no." Ron Paul did not vote. (Names in italics are Democrats.)

  5. I wonder if Republican Congressman like mine are as stupid as they sound, or just think we are too stupid to see through them. My congressman justified his "yes" vote by claiming he did not want taxes to go up. NOT ONLY did his "yes" vote increase taxes, but he also just threw away all of his leverage to reduce spending. Serious question to all of those out there, how long can this be maintained? Does anyone have any sort of projection for when federal borrowing and spending cannot go on any further? I think that faith in the United States is dropping more and more rapidly, but I am wondering if there is any reasonable way to project when the party stops?

    1. Ron Paul had better things to do than waste his time in Washington casting one more no vote that wouldn't change a thing.

  8. I can understand the likes of McConnell and Boehner voting in favor of this bill.

What i positively cannot understand is how Republicans can keep voting these people into office.
