A Reminder to Bitcoin Holders of What the US Government Has Done to Swiss Banks

An EPJ reader sends along this pic of the response he received when inquiring about opening a bank account in Switzerland.

The USG has made it extremely difficult for an Americans to open a Swiss bank account. The idea that bitcoins will somehow be exchanged by using foreign accounts is dream land thinking. Just how would an American get money overseas, and back to the US, if the USG has its neck on the global banking system? All bank accounts that bitcoin dealers, like Mt Gox, use will be regularly frozen and the money seized.

And that's before it becomes illegal for an American to own bitcoins.
