Where's Rand?

An EPJ reader emails:
Where is Rand Paul denouncing the U.S. warmongering with regards to Syria? An unprovoked undeclared attack appears imminent and he has said not a word. 24 hours from Kerry's lies seems like a fair deadline for a response to me. What do you think? Hardly can be called leadership worthy if you ask me.
He has to calculate if he wants to further antagonize the neocons. The neocon sharpshooters are watching his every move and it is probably why his head is down in the bunker.

  1. One has to ask what will he stick his head up for?

    1. Oh hai. I can answer that. He has stood strongly against indefinite detention, increasing the debt limit, mandatory minimums, gun control, ending Obamacare, asking Hillary tough questions about Benghazi, drone strikes against US citizens without trial, trial by jury of peers, not passing laws that haven't been read, and school choice (which somehow is a sin among you zombies.) And not too mention, being the most outspoken person in Washington on the issue of foreign aid to Egypt and intervention Syria.

But of course you are the worst kind of collectivist. You think you are an independent thinker, but you are not.

    2. Ok Mark since your the expert and i'm some sort of lowly collectivist worm and a non thinker (although you never really explained how i'm a collectivist), how come Ron Paul was celebrated in libertarian circles where Rand umm isn't?

  2. Maybe he is motivated by politics over principle. Or maybe he is thinks the intervention is a good idea.

    1. He's one of those who thinks that "some" intervention is a good idea. It's a very slippery slope from there. Can't say I have much faith in him.

  3. Come now, we can't have Rand wrecking his principled stance by objecting to a moral outrage.

  4. Rand Paul will bravely vote to cut funding for bike trails. I just received an email seeking my financial support to fight Rand Paul.
