According to the Iowa Reporter, a just released report found that Sorenson received a $25,000 check from a former senior official in Ron Paul’s presidential campaign. He also received $73,000 in wire transfers that Weinhardt called “deeply suspicious.”
Please, please keep in mind that what has been dubbed Ron Paul, Inc. is different than Ron Paul. Ron Paul is about getting the message out, Ron Paul Inc is, well, about other things.

ReplyDeleteI understand the distinction you draw between Ron Paul and "Ron Paul, Inc." but how can you absolve him of culpability so easily? How is Ron Paul not ultimately responsible for people that he allows to use his name and work for him? After all, you threw an absolute fit when anyone bad mouthed Paul for going after people who were using his name without permission.
ReplyDeleteWhen one is at the top of an organization, that person must bear some responsibility for what goes on beneath him. I love Ron Paul and all he has done to advance the cause of liberty, but that does not put him above scrutiny

DeleteA lot of things seem to have been done behind his back. You may not expect omniscience from him, but it is really too much to expect him to be less naive?
Look at all the people he put his faith in that ended up burning him, deliberately or not.
