George Will Gets a Couple of Great Compliments

Yesterday, I posted to a George Will column, The Enigma of Janet Yellen as Fed Chair. It is a pretty decent anti-Fed piece---which is driving the Fed apologists crazy.

Matt O'Brien tweets:
George Will seems to be evolving into a hard-money nut
Johnatha Chait at New York Magazine calls Will's column:
Will’s slightly paranoid meanderings against Janet Yellen
Congrats, George!

  1. George Will was there when I recorded Hayek on "Meet the Press" in 1975.

  2. I believe George Will will be severely attacked for his position, and I am unsure of his ability to defend himself given his relatively recent embracement of libertarianism (even though, at best, he is a very weak libertarian).

    1. He'll either cower to the unwitting apologists for the financial elite or he'll fight back and risk losing his career. These are pretty awful times when it comes to tolerance for free speech in such a public forum. He also risks being put on the governments right wing extremists black list.

  3. "nut" ... "paranoid". The use of psychological terminology is a clear sign of distress, and an inability to argue rationally.
