When You Become a Trained Killer for the Government....

Sometimes things don't turn out that well.

In the closing minutes of President Obama's State of the Union speech, he reported on what happened to one trained killer, who apparently still is under the ether and believes he has done good for the country:
I first met Cory Remsburg, a proud Army Ranger, at Omaha Beach on the 65th anniversary of D-Day. Along with some of his fellow Rangers, he walked me through the program, the ceremony. He was a strong, impressive young man, had an easy manner. He was sharp as a tack. And we joked around, and took pictures, and I told him to stay in touch.

A few months later, on his 10th deployment, Cory was nearly killed by a massive roadside bomb in Afghanistan. His comrades found him in a canal, face down, underwater, shrapnel in his brain.

For months, he lay in a coma. And the next time I met him, in the hospital, he couldn't speak; he could barely move. Over the years, he's endured dozens of surgeries and procedures, hours of grueling rehab every day.

Even now, Cory is still blind in one eye. He still struggles on his left side. But slowly, steadily, with the support of caregivers like his dad Craig, and the community around him, Cory has grown stronger. Day by day, he's learned to speak again and stand again and walk again, and he's working toward the day when he can serve his country again.

"My recovery has not been easy," he says. "Nothing in life that's worth anything is easy."

  1. 1. What a sleazy move to use this guy.

    2. 10 times!? Never mind that it was a bonehead move to go back the second time. If this is inspiration for kids these days - to get shot and eat rations, it's not a wonder why the economy sux and unemployment is on the rise.

    1. LOL. Delete the blog. Good luck w/ that. You must be new to the internet. Welcome!

    2. He probably meant from his rss reader. I'm doing the same thing. Purely classless attacking anyone's injury, let alone someone who was injured in combat. But thanks for the laugh on assuming he meant blacklisting you from the internet. Idiot.

    3. He didn't attack anyone's injury. He attacked the President for using Cory's injury as an example of an heroic sacrifice in the cause of freedom. Gag me. Cory is an heroic example of the power of indoctrination. The President is a tool, an opportunist, a traitor and should be jailed for war crimes along with his buddy Bush.

  4. "he's working toward the day when he can serve his country again."

This, more than anything else, shows Obama's mentality. That somehow serving his country again would be the only useful or important thing he could do.

  5. Imagine his horror as well as his parents horror if they admitted the truth as to why this young man is disabled; no reason. Not keeping anyone safe, not upholding any type of honor, just killing because somebody told you to.

These people must lie to themselves or they would realize that they're monsters.

    1. They don't lie to themselves. Lying to yourself suggests that deep down you know the truth but don't acknowledge it. These kids are largely brainwashed through public schools and other means that America is good and anybody America is against is bad. They salute the flag and the republic for which it stands when they should be upholding the Constitution because that is what they have been taught. They are ignorant; they don't know any better. A lot of them are good kids if you ever get to know them. I have, through the Wounded Warrior Project, Homes for Our Troops, and other charities. My brother is a quadrapalegic thanks to a sniper's bullet in Iraq 7 years ago. Don't blame the kids. Blame the mother f*ckers who are brainwashing them into thinking that they aren't bleeding and dying for no good damned reason.

  6. I am at the age where I (and the people I grew up with) have adult children of the age to join the empire. Mine will NOT. Unfortunately, thanks to social media I have to see and hear about my friends kids going off to "serve our country", "protect our freedom", "fight the terrorists", ad nauseum. When I try to explain the truth to these people, I am the worst sort of traitor. It makes me want to scream.

  7. Hmmm, one has to wonder what he liked so much that he went back ten times. Most people once would be enough.

  8. Sometimes you don't have a choice. You do as your told. If that involves multiple deployments, so be it. We signed up so you didn't have to. There's a lot more to being in the military than just going off to "blow Afghan brains out". Many of my peers learn and master high tech communication equipment, logistics methods, etc. that allow them to contribute to society upon their completion of active duty. For those that are belittling and judging this warrior- shame on you. We fight for our brothers and sisters next to us. We ate not blind to the idiocracy in Washington.

    1. I think you have a choice about the tenth deployment. But aside from that, not a single comment here has belittled or judged this injured young man. To the contrary, there is nothing but grief and sorrow for his being put into his predicament by unprincipled chicken hawks.

    2. They train you to love your fellow soldiers even more than your family back home so that you are willing to do their bidding. Those back home are trained to support the troops so the gov can do whatever they want with them. Our support convinces the soldier what he is doing must be okay, because everyone back home keeps telling him how great he is for doing it. It is all quite effective.

  9. serve one term then speak your mind about people being brainwashed.

  10. I'll be the first to belittle, when you serve the elite by killing with impudence. You deserve a most miserable fate. How many afghan families did he rip apart? Live by the sword and suffer or die by it.

If none of you fucking idiots "signed up so I don't have to" there would be no fucking wars. Before you go all 9/11 never forget full retard, google building seven.

    1. 911 occurred only to enact the Patriot Act and NDAA. The Patriot Act was written by Pres. Reagan, but the Elite held into it because at that time, they knew that the American people wouldn't swallow it. They orchestrated 911 so the American people would scream "protect me from terrorists"and allow their rights and privacy to be taken away....all for the NWO like Pres Bush said in his speech right after the"attack".
