The Best Day to Shop Online Will Not Be Cyber Monday

 For the first time, Thanksgiving, not Black Friday or Cyber Monday, could be the best day for finding deals online, writes Andrea Cheng at MarketWatch.

Prices online likely will be discounted an average of 24% that day, better than the average of about 20% on Cyber Monday or about 23% on Black Friday, according to Adobe Systems Inc.’s 2014 Digital Index Online Shopping Forecast.

Except for special in-store Black Friday promotions and inventory clearances closer to the holidays, in-store and online prices generally match, the data found, according to Adobe.
