Silicon Valley Loves Hillary

WSJ reports:
Tech executives say their dissatisfaction with Mr. Trump goes beyond his lack of outreach. His calls for tougher limits on trade and immigration conflict with the industry’s interests, they say, and his controversial comments about various ethnic and racial groups are culturally out of step with Silicon Valley.

Indeed? It conflicts with MY interests!!! I WANT the cheaper goods manufactured overseas! I WANT the cheaper labor! Who the heck wants things *expensive*? Those who say they're willing to pay more out of patriotic duty are lying through their collectivist teeth!

Oh, yes, there are plenty of righteous Trumpistas who love to say things like that. They congregate on the comments sections of consevative pages or troll the FEE/Cato/Reason pages.

  2. I'm sure TPP would be great for the tech firms.

  3. Basically, what the "tech industry" aka crony "entrepreneurs" / VC bullshit artists are unhappy about is that Trump doesn't need their money and doesn't care to associate with their likes.

The mood in the trenches of the tech industry is quite different. Engineers who actually make things work tend to be a lot more libertarian. (Of course, there's still a lot of lefties among those who were unable to get from under the public school indoctrination, but in my experience when they are exposed to the libertarian ideas they get attracted to the logic and explanatory power of them).
