Trump's Goldman Sachs Economic Adviser: Fed Doing 'Good Job'

White House economic adviser Gary Cohn, the former president of Goldman Scahs, said this morning on Fox News Sunday  that the Federal Reserve "has been doing a good job" and the Trump administration respects its independence, even if the U.S. central bank raises interest rates this week.

"The Federal Reserve is an independent agency and they operate as such. They have their economic data, which they look at and they are trying to always modulate economic growth with inflation, with the work force," Cohn said. "I think the Federal Reserve has been doing a good job in doing that. The Fed will do what they need to do. And we respect the powers of the Fed."

So much for the notion that the Trump administration is going to end the Fed.

  2. I keep getting these Trump ads (yes, still must be a $$ campaign going on) that say he is continually fighting the uphill battle against the 'establishment' for those that voted for him (and taking 'their' agenda against the machine). However, it is becoming apparent that this faux fight has been nothing but smoke and mirrors and continuing to be a total SELLOUT!
