Nor perfect, but very good.

  1. I wish that whoever posted this speech had not added that intolerable "music" (mostly a drum repeated endlessly ad nauseam).

  2. The economic ideas espoused by X imply that the black community should put their race or community "first" economically because economics are a sort of zero sum game. The last part even goes so far as to suggest that an imagined racial economic autarky would empower the black community. Interestingly, if you substitute country for race or community, these arguments are similar, though not exactly, to the types of economic "America First" type ideas pushed by the Trumpists. Ideas that run contrary to the doctrinaire "free trade" concepts so often promoted on this site.

    1. Well one has to remember up until late in his life X was a Black Nationalist first and foremost. He hated Whites, Hispanics, Asians, etc but from an anti-welfare perspective this particular video does make sense.

    2. What anti-welfare perspective? I noted no mention of the State in the entire piece. Only approbation for those you mentioned he hated. Perhaps his perspective was that "whites" controlled the apparatus of the State in his day but that could only be implied and was not explicit in this video.
