BREAKING: McConnell Does Not Have the Votes to Pass GOP Healthcare Bill

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has just announced that he does not have the votes to pass the GOP healthcare bill.

He will try to separate the ObamaCare repeal and replacement efforts by first attempting to repeal Obamacare and then work on a replacement.

I'm all for repeal and then I hope replacement languishes in Congress forever.

From McConnell's statement:
In the coming days, the Senate will vote to take up the House bill with the first amendment in order being what a majority of the Senate has already supported in 2015 and that was vetoed by then-President Obama: a repeal of Obamacare with a two-year delay to provide for a stable transition period.
The problem with this repeal is, of course, the two-year delay. Who knows what these bastards will come up with in the interim? So don't celebrate just yet. In fact, you may never get to celebrate. the repeal is probably a scam.

  1. Would you support a one year delay or should the repeal be as immediate as possible?
