The Price of a Studio Apartment in San Francisco Will Get You a Mansion in Ohio

NBCNewYork reports: A new infographic by lending company TitleMax visualizes what $500,000 will get you in America’s 30 largest cities, and the results are stunning.

Half-a-million dollars will land you 5,952 square feet (aka a mansion) in Cleveland, where the median price per square foot is just $84. Compare that to San Francisco, the nation’s most expensive place to live, where the median price per square foot is a staggering $507. You’ll get about 986 square feet in the City by the Bay — a difference of 4,966 square feet from Cleveland. For perspective, a normal-sized bedroom or living room is usually between 300 and 400 square feet.

  2. Eminem's 17,000-square-foot gated estate in Rochester Hills has sold for $1.9 million, according to a listing on Zillow.com

The rapper's six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home was listed in August for $2 million, a markdown from nearly $4.8 million that Eminem paid in 2003. And that sum was about $1 million less than the original asking price, Oakland County land records showed at the time.

The house is on Winkler Mill Road off of Washington Road. The website states the property sold on Sept. 20.
