McDonald's July Same-Store Sales Rose 8%

McDonald's overall sales at stores open at least 13 months increased 8% in July. In the U.S.-store sales grew 6.7%. Same-store sales jumped 7.6 percent in Europe, led by sales in Britain, France and Russia. And in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa region, same-store sales climbed 7.2 percent because of extended hours and menu items.

Bizarrely, McDonald's said that, "...double-digit comparable sales in Latin America benefited the month's overall performance," but did not provide any data on Latin American sales. They did not even provide the exact double digit rate that they mention. This despite the fact that it had to be a major increase, since McDonald's is reporting overall same store sales of 8%, but does not list any country reaching the 8% mark, which means it was Latin America that boosted the overall rate to 8%.
