Near worthless money with high denomination currency has a very useful purpose, and I always carry some around with me.
You see, it is perfect mugger money.
I was once in Boston Common late at night when two punks approached me. They asked me for some change and I got the distinct impression that they were going to take whatever I had in another couple of seconds anyway, so I handed each a 500,000 near worthless Yugoslavian note.
It threw their entire game off, and they may still be jumping around in excitement. I walked away.
