Book Spotting: The Secret History of the American Empire

A heavyset black women in her late 40's in a security guard's uniform, riding the DC metro red line, reading a hardcover copy of John Perkin's The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World.

She was about two-thirds of the way through. Sitting comfortably, she didn't raise her head at all from the book.

  1. Hey RW do you think the Hitman books are real?

Some people say Perkins is a fraud.

    I dunno.

Anyhow here are some of Hitman Perkins' predictions for the world of tomorrow.

  2. BTW Jude Wanniski liked the original Perkins 'Hitman' book (see here)

  3. From people I have talked to on the inside, Perkin's book is right on.

BTW, I think Confessions of an Economic Hit Man is a much more informative book than Secret History. I got the sense that Secret History was a rush job put out to capitalize on the success of Hit Man

Jude Wanniski knew what was going on. We lost great independent minds when we lost Jude Wanniski and Pierre Rinfret. They are the only two from that generation that circled the insiders, but weren't afraid to tell it the way it was.
