Richard Ebeling in Profile

One of the most consistent hardcore Austrian economists, today, is Richard Ebeling. Recently, The Daily Bell interviewed him. The interview sheds new light on Ebeling's discovery of "the lost papers" of Ludwig von Mises, Ebeling's period at FEE and news that Ebeling will this fall join Northwood University in Midland, Michigan as professor of economics.

His new book, Political Economy, Public Policy, and Monetary Economics: Ludwig von Mises and the Austrian Tradition, will be published in December 2009 by Routledge. He is also writing an intellectual biography of Ludwig von Mises that will appear before the end of 2010

As a bonus, as part of the interview, Ebeling provides a pretty good summary of the current economic situation, where we are and sadly the direction we are headed in.

The interview is here.
