Too Much Public Glare for Rahm Emanuel

The White House chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, has decided not to speak to the board of JPMorgan Chase when it meets today in Washington D.C., according to NYT.

Emanuel is clearly hiding from the press covrage his attendance would draw at JPMorgans meeting. He'll contine to do his deals with Dimon in private.

But, get this. NYT reports:

Another administration official and two lawmakers were also expected to speak to the board, but their identities have not been disclosed.

  1. Dang! If he could dine with David Rubenstein of The Carlyle Group at the Blue Duck Tavern, surely Rahm could speak to the board of JP Morgan. Unless, Emanuel doesn't want to be seen hamming it up with the big money boys.
