Is Medvedev the Anti-Obama?

While President Obama continues to move the United States further down the road of government paternalism, Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev realizes the destruction that paternalism has done to Russia.Reports AP:

Medvedev condemned "centuries of debilitating corruption" and widespread paternalistic attitudes in Russia that all problems should be the responsibility of the state

Medvedev is a smart guy. He understands the importance of the rule of law and of property rights. He gets it better than Obama does.

But, behind the scenes, Vladimir Putin hints that he could return to lead Russia until 2024.
