More Wolin in Africa

On Monday, Deputy Secretary Wolin will meet with senior government officials in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to discuss efforts to reform the country’s investment climate and address the various growth challenges facing the nation, including infrastructure development and ways to support Tanzania’s agricultural sector with productive public and private investments.

In the morning, Wolin will meet with Bank of Tanzania Governor Benno Ndulu. In the afternoon, he will meet with Minister of Finance Mustafa Mkulo and Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete.

In addition, Deputy Secretary Wolin will meet with Tanzania's Millennium Challenge Account CEO, Bernard Mchomvu.

Alaso in the morning the Deputy Secretary will visit the National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA).

Originally created during the continent-wide food shortage in 1974, NFRA procures, stores, and releases emergency food stocks and provides farmers in rural areas with alternative market outlets.

    Now it makes sense. It's about the fertile land grab, especially in Afrika.

  2. Just wait til China starts buying wheat later this year with their USD holdings. That's why Wolin is over there. And why GaryLocke is in China with authority to sell missile technology to the Chinese.
