Alert: Bernanke Speech Monday

Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke will be speaking before the The Economic Club of Washington, DC on Monday.

I will be there.

Questions from the media are not allowed during the Q & A, so unless I get lucky and catch Bernanke coming in, or heading out, I won't be able to question him, and he generally does tend to scoot in and out quickly. So the pressure will be on new EPJ staff photographer Rayne Woo to get some interesting shots.

That said, Carlyle Group co-founder and Economic Club president David Rubenstein will be introducing Bernanke. He tends to wander on his own a bit and never seems to shy away from answering questions, so maybe I'll get a chance to hear a bit about what is on his mind.

I'll also be twittering during the event, so if you follow me on twitter, you'll be the first to know what's up. You can follow me on Twitter, here. It's free.

  1. Wenzel,

One empire falls, another rises in his place. The old school media's real threat is EPJ Media Unlimited...
