Matt Taibbi's Take on Obama

"I supported Barack Obama. I still do. If I had to vote tomorrow between Obama and Tim Pawlenty, or Sarah Palin, it wouldn’t be a choice that required a whole lot of thought. He’s done some good things. He’s restored some confidence in the United States among foreign leaders. We had something of a revolutionary regime for eight years under George Bush, and Obama has put the United States back into the club of rule-abiding nations, at least to some degree."- Matt Taibbi

I don't get how anyone who is in favor of free markets can stomach Taibbi, much less support his rants. His writing is not original. It is a compendium of the attacks of others on the power elite. Yet, he will slyly move the attack away from the elite, who play footsie with his man Obama, and claim it is free market failure. This is one slippery dude.

  2. Wenzel,

LRC is making some strange bedfellows these days, though I scratched my head til I bled with the whole Cindy Sheehan episode, too.

Obama has put the United States back into the club of rule-abiding nations, at least to some degree

How socialists calculate: "to some degree"
