Senate Passes Defense Spending Bill

First, they vote to supply money to kill off folks in far off lands, which will also kill off some US businesses which will be crowded out from borrowing, then they go back to the business of shortening the life expectancy of Americans.

In other words, the Senate has passed a massive spending bill for the Pentagon, the last piece of legislative business it must consider before returning to the health-care debate.

The early morning vote on the $626 billion defense spending bill passed 88-10.
