The money rushing in to China, by the major players, is astounding.

Carlyle Group raised $2.55 billion for its Asia fund, Carlyle Asia Partners III, giving it a total of $5 billion for three such funds in the region.

Carlyle is moving ahead with other funds in Asia; in January, the firm said it would found a fund denominated in the Chinese currency worth 5 billion renminbi, or $730 million, with the municipal government of Beijing, according to NYT.
