The Economic Manipulators Need More Space

Office vacancy rates continue to climb across the country. The national office vacancy rate is 17.4%, as an additional 1.8 million square feet went empty during Q2.

Since early 2008,  nationwide, rented office space has declined by 133 million square feet, according to the real estate research firm, Reis, Inc.

The lowest vacancy rate in the country is in the land of the economic manipulators, Washington D.C. It is at 10%. The SEC just leased an additional 200,000 square feet. Not to mention that the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is going to be a major government monstrosity that will be sopping up huge amounts of D.C. space.
