The U. S. Mint reports 97,000 one-ounce American Eagles gold bullion coins were sold during June 2010, down from 116,000 one-ounce coins during the same period of 2009.
One-ounce American Eagle gold bullion sales through July 7, 2010 were reported at 640,000 ounces. Total American Eagle one-ounce gold bullion sales for 2009 were reported at 1,315,000 ounces.
You can be bullish as hell about the possibilities for gold, but if people don't have any money to buy them, the price is going to go down.
