Don't Believe Talk About Defense Cuts

Roubini Global Economics reports:
As government plans to reduce the deficit kick off, the Defense Department has garnered a lot of attention. Many analysts suggest that the long term plans of the military, detailed in the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) are inconsistent with the appropriations requests. Weapon overruns, higher personnel costs and other factors may make cutting spending difficult, limiting the effect of other cost cutting efforts.
