On Monday morning, Treasury Secretary Geithner will deliver remarks during the opening plenary session of a Public Policy Conference hosted by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI).
According to Treasury, "his remarks will focus on the Obama Administration’s continued efforts to promote job creation and economic recovery– both for the Hispanic community and for all Americans. He will make a strong case for President Obama’s pro-growth economic agenda and urge Congress to swiftly enact both a small business jobs bill and an extension of tax cuts for working and middle class families. Additionally, Secretary Geithner will speak to the importance of the new proposals that President Obama outlined last week to strengthen our economic recovery."
Treasury Deputy Secretary Neal Wolin also has a busy day.
On Monday afternoon, Deputy Treasury Wolin will meet with the Attorney General of Qatar at Treasury.
In the afternoon, Deputy Secretary Wolin will attend the national security team’s regular monthly meeting on Afghanistan and Pakistan with the President at the White House
