The Economics of TSA Groping

Bottom line, airline security is an economics problem.

If you watch enough talking head discussions on television you will realize that the TSA groping controversy is rarely properly understood as a problem of trade offs and private property.

Robert Murphy has the best explanation I have seen as to the role economics plays in the TSA groping controversy and why the failure to turn the problem over to the private sector, i.e., the airlines, is the real problem.
