The Big Brother-Industrial Complex

Over at LRC, David Kramer links to the below video that demonstrates the latest in Big Brother monitoring equipment. The "Skywatch Manned Mobile Surveillance System" is made by ICX Technologies.

I moseyed on over to the ICX Technologies web site to see who might be a happy part of this team. And who do I find?

Spencer Abraham who is a former Secretary of Energy (2001-2004). Prior to becoming Energy Secretary, Abraham was a U.S. Senator from Michigan. Before that, he was the co-chairman the National Republican Congressional Committee from 1991 to 1993. He holds a law degree from Harvard University.

and

Rodney Slater who served under President Clinton as the Secretary of  Transportation. Before becoming Secretary, Slater was Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration. From 1987 to 1992. Prior to that he was a member of the Arkansas State Highway Commission where he eventually became chairman.
