A Rarity: Bernanke Meets the Press

Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke will be a guest speaker at a National Press Club luncheon today. The action starts  at 12:30 p.m. EST. He will address the audience with a prepared text on the economic outlook and macroeconomic policies, before taking questions.

Bernanke is uncomfortable in front of the press and rarely does interviews. He will be very cautious with his answers and given that it's clear the Fed has no intentions of changing its money printing ways anytime soon, its doubtful there will be any market moving comments, but you never know.

Watch for the plant who will ask a question about the Boston Red Sox or Washington Nationals.

  1. Aren't they all plants? Why would the Establishment risk otherwise? Bernanke is going to do a victory lap con to fool the CopperTops into working as he steals another trillion from them.
