The first traces will be minute and will have no serious impact on humans, according to data obtained by NYT.
NYT reports that the radiation will be similar to "radiation from the Chernobyl disaster in 1986 [that] spread around the globe and reached the West Coast of the United States in 10 days, its levels measurable but minuscule."
Based on current jet stream conditions, the radiation is expected to hit southern California, then the American Southwest, including Nevada, Utah and Arizona. Changing weather conditions may alter the projections somewhat.
There has been no speculation as to radiation developments if the entire nuclear site goes into full meltdown.
NYT has a visual moving graphic of the projected path of the radiated jet stream, here.
Oh! It's only minimal. Oh that's not so bad. Oh I'll just take that as a price for living in the modern world. Let me go back to sleep. Has anyone seen my TeeVee Guide?
ReplyDeleteAmericans worried about radioactive fallout from a Japanese nuclear device....
ReplyDeleteHow ironic.

ReplyDeleteWhether or not you got KI, this is not the time to take it...Eat natural sources of iodine... seaweed, especially kelp - have some sushi :) but gently get that iodine in your diet somehow.
Jct: America has been poisoning the lands where they brought war with their depleted uranium ammo and I'm sick of hearing about the resultant birth defects. Looks like they're not going to be on the receiving end of the radioactivity. Har har har har. Can't think of any other nation that better deserves to be downwind.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be no problem. GE,TEPCO or the feds would tell us right?
ReplyDeleteKing of Paupers you are an idiot!
