State Spokesman Quits after WikiLeaks Comments

Chief State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley quit on Sunday follwing comments he made last week calling the treatment of suspected WikiLeaks leaker, Bradley Manning, “ridiculous” and “stupid”.

“Given the impact of my remarks, for which I take full responsibility, I have submitted my resignation” to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, according to a department statement. In a separate statement released simultaneously, Clinton said she had accepted the resignation “with regret.”

And I'm a conspiracy theorist because I don't believe what my government tells me...
