CNBC anchor Mark Haines has died. He was 65 and died at his home yesterday evening.
Founding anchor of CNBC's morning show "Squawk Box," was co-anchor of the network's "Squawk on the Street" program.
Haines never went out of his way to question mainstream wisdom, which probably cost him personally. I can remember him proudly proclaiming/fully disclosing when interviewing an Enron official before the collapse, "I own Enron stock in my retirement account".
