The Carlyle Group,which has pushed its way to the top of crony capitalism by bringing on board its firm "advisors" such as George H.W. Bush and John Major, plans to raise more than $1bn with a initial public offering, reports FT.
Carlyle this month selected Citigroup, Credit Suisse and JPMorgan Chase to lead the offer. Notice: Goldman Sachs was not chosen to lead the offer.
