DSK Maid Assembles Global Legal Dream Team

The maid who is accusing former World Bank president Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexually attacking her in NYC's Sofitel Hotel, is assembling her own team of lawyers.

Reports NyPo:

The 32-year-old maid has added Thibault de Montbrial to her legal team, the French attorney confirmed, after he was contacted by her New York-based lawyer, Kenneth Thompson.

"I was hired to see if we can contact other victims of Strauss-Kahn," de Montbrial said...

The maid hired a legal team to defend against allegations by Strauss-Kahn's lawyers that she consented to sex in the hotel room.
Just wondering, but how does a hotel maid get the money to put together a global OJ Simpson  style legal Dream Team? And has any victim ever, anywhere in the world, assembled their own dream team, when they are already being represented by the prosecution?

  1. Clearly, the maid was approached by an attorney(s) because there is a potential huge civil pay day. She "assembled" nothing but agreed to some split of the award and the attorney is reaching out to create the "team" to scare DSK (and the banksters) into coughing up a huge payoff.

The OJ case, of course, had a civil trial after he was acquitted on the murder charges. The maid is just being a little more pro-active by getting the civil team in place prior to any verdict. Both cases may proceed on a parallel track although New York may have some statute or rule which precludes prosecution of the civil case pending an outcome in the criminal case.
