Hank Paulson Buys His Way Into the University of Chicago

Former Goldman Sachs CEO and U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson is joining the Harris School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Chicago.

It's a five-year appointment as a distinguished senior fellow. He will begin July 1.

Paulson also is creating the Paulson Institute at the university to focus on the relationship between the United States and China. Local crony, the former Chicago mayor, Richard Daley will start at U of C on the same day.The two will hold the same title.

They really deserve each other.

Milton Friedman and Freidrich Hayek, who both taught at U of C and explained why a limited government is the only way to gain an increasing standard of living, are for sure spinning in their graves, to hear that these two government self-serving interventionists have captured the University.

  1. One of the biggest losers in history. Wouldn't it be wonderful if he gave a lecture and nobody came?

Nothing but the sound of crickets.

    I can dream can't I...
