Budowsky thinks that Congressman Paul should run for president and stay in congress:
It is sad to see. Ron Paul, who joined Sarah Palin in the quitter's club of Republicans by planning to give up his financial subcommittee chairmanship by not running for reelection as Sarah Palin gave up her governership, is the worst possible role model for Republicans with his ridiculous talk that a default would be OK.He calls Ron Paul a "Banana Republican" for not wanting the debt ceiling raised, apparently not aware that a banana republic is generally considered a republic where spending is out of control and a republic finances such out of control spending by a central bank running the money printing presses, 24/7. The exact opposite of what Rep. Paul stands for.
Budowsky claims a government default would be a disaster. In this sense, he would be correct. It would be a disaster for all the lobbyists who hang around Capitol Hill. The entire edifice around Capitol Hill would collapse. Indeed, the paper Budowsky works, The Hill, would likely collapse, since it's largely supported by special interest advertising that is always plotting to get a bigger chunk of out the government Ron Paul wants to cut down to size.
There only one way to help move along the cutting down of the size of government that Budowsky so much objects to vote Ron Paul and put Brent Budowsky out of work. Since he is skilled with a hatchet perhaps he will be able to find a new job in the other Washington, the state of Washington, as a lumberjack.
What are you talking about? This is a badge of honor. When "experts" like Budowsky say that not raising the debt ceiling is "economic suicide," anyone with a brain knows it is the complete opposite. What he is really saying is "Ron Paul leads the desperately-trying-to-stave-off-a-full-scale-economic-collapse wing of the Republican Party."
ReplyDeleteIf the only means the government has to prevent default is to increase the debt limit, we are in default.
ReplyDelete"Perhaps he will be able to find a new job in the other Washington, the state of Washington, as a lumberjack."
ReplyDeleteNah, lumber jacks are REAL men.
Robert,
ReplyDeleteBudowsky doesn't even believe what he writes. He's learned that attacking Ron Paul is a good way to boost traffic to his page, so The Hill gets more advertising revenue. Notice, he never makes any kind of argument to support his assertions. He offers nothing but intellectual vomit. The guy is a waste of time -- another journalistic hack licking the boots of his Wall Street masters.
If these guys are so "responsible" -- if they know the "responsible course of action," then why are we in this mess? We've been doing things their way for decades!
The stupid and bratty statist parsites that are threatened with having to earn a living as free people in a free market will always consider human beings are "evil" or "primitive". They are mental children trying to beg money from their mommy and daddy.
ReplyDeleteBrent Budowsky is too much of a fly-weight to even qualify as a hatchet man.
ReplyDeleteHere's a sample of the Brentster's past cogitations, which have all the intellecutal heft of a puree of Gerber baby food and jello.

Are you sure his true name isn't 'Butt'owsky?
ReplyDeleteI love this blog, but let's get some proof-reading up in here.
ReplyDeleteRon Paul's bowel movement understands economics better than Brent Budowsky.
ReplyDeleteAnd to think: This guy is probably indebted to a college for having been taught to think in these terms....what a waste of money (among other things). Who does he really believe he's kidding?
ReplyDeleteNo one has time for proof reading...We are working hard in the free-market to fund the free-loaders who think Ron Paul is stupid and mean. The statist parasites need to be eliminated from civil society so we can spend more time proof reading.
ReplyDeleteThis guy lumps Dr. Paul into a "quitter's club" with the dimwit done-nothing Palin. Well, why would Dr. Paul ever be tired of the political circus?
ReplyDeleteCould it be because he's been shoe-horned by his fellow Republicans into the toughest district of his electoral history, marginalized and mocked his entire career and finally given a sub-committee insulting to his actual seniority.
Nah, to this hatchet man, Dr. Paul's 3 decade-long career is moot. He's just a "quitter". What a joke.
done-nothing Palin? Watch The Undefeated, you dimwit. Palin is a honorable politician, one of the few left like Ron Paul. Attack Palin, you attack Ron Paul
ReplyDeletePalin quit in the middle of her term. Ron Paul has been in and out of office for decades and has now decided not to run for a new term. The man is in his mid-70s. How in hell is this joining the Sarah Palin quitter club? The two situations are totally different.
ReplyDeleteThey are marginalizing the good Dr because he is threat to their tax funded meal ticket. Imagine a world where DC is marginal, and few people care about what they do since it has little to no impact on their lives. All of these employees of cable news shows, "big government" newspapers & blogs, CPAs & tax lawyers, and lobbyists would have to do REAL work. Better to keep the game going for a little longer than let some hick from Texas take it all away.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the endgame is fast approaching, and the Internet has exposed their shameless powerlust.
He may not win, but the ideas he has brought to light through his tireless and valiant efforts will be long remembered after the rest are forgotten.
Haven't you ever seen the movies? The good guys may not win in the first act, but if they stay true to their soul, by the third act they always triumph.

ReplyDeleteDon't be ridiculous.
There is nothing "honorable" about a statist, much less a warmongering one.
Putting Palin and Ron Paul in the same category is a sign of blatant ignorance, and is something that no one who knows what Ron Paul stands for would ever do.

ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how you didn't care to refute that Palin is a dimwit.
