Warren Buffett Wants Higher Governmnet Debt

Howard Buffett, a friend of Murray Rothbard's, must be spinning in his grave. His son Warren went on national television today, and in true oligarch fashion called for the debt ceiling to be raised.

"We raised the debt ceiling seven times during the Bush Administration," Buffett told CNBC. Now, the Republican-controlled Congress is "trying to use the incentive now that we're going to blow your brains out, America, in terms of your debt worthiness over time."

About the only time you see Buffett on television these days is when he is promoting some scheme that will allow continued expansion of the state.

  3. Buffett turned into another crony capitalist with his Goldman deal. He gets to make millions and the taxpayer gets to guarantee his paycheck. I once had much respect for him. No more. He is the poster child for what is wrong with the system.

  5. He is correct to call out republicans on being liars and hypocrites.

However, he is completely and utterly wrong in saying that somehow more government debt is necessary.
