Britain's Riots a Tax Revolt?

Economist Magazine reports:
The most intriguing explanation for misbehaviour so far was offered to Mark Stone, a Sky News reporter, who recorded looting in Clapham Junction on his phone. "Are you proud of what you're doing?" he asked one young woman who was stealing goods from a smashed-up store. "I’m just getting my taxes back," she replied
Sadly from the revolutions in Egypt, Libya and Syria to riots in London, most fail to distinguish between the private sector from the government sector.

They understand there is a problem, but they are very confused about solid solutions.

  2. The zombies know that it was the government that bought their allegiance, and that the private sector was used to fund their tomfoolery. Riot the government? They know any honey left is out in the street. The carcass of the private sector will be picked clean by the vultures.

  3. Refuse to give in to government theft of your property, and they'll hunt you down for the rest of your life. Steal from a productive businessman in the private sector, police will file a report in a dusty cabinet and go back to their coffee and donuts.

That is the video where the woman says looting is taking back tax.

  5. It sucks to see people rationalizing their criminal behavior. It makes no sense to smash a business because you're angry about the government.

  6. People don't realize it is the terrorist gang called government that is killing them...They are that stupid from government schooling and TV broadcasts.

  7. Here's a more likely explanation: She's a welfare queen who is angry about her entitlements being cut. Since the private business owner pays for her entitlements, she is just cutting out the middleman and getting "her taxes," i.e. her share of tax revenue, straight from the source!
