The Iowa Straw Poll Schedule

All times are Central Time.

Candidates are scheduled to give 15-minute speeches between noon and 3 p.m.

Once the speeches are concluded the voting begins.

Voting ends at 4 p.m., and the poll’s results are expected no later than 6 p.m.

Tim Pawlenty, Michele Bachmann, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain and Thad McCotter all bought space at the event, guaranteeing placement on the ballot. The Iowa GOP also added three candidates to the ballot who did not purchase space: Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman and Newt Gingrich.

  2. Ron will win.

But it won't mean anything. MSM is already saying "If Ron Paul wins it delegitimizes the straw poll" I've heard this exact statement about 10 times now on several different networks.

No matter what, as long as the media is against him he will lose, even if he "wins"

  3. Did Rick Perry time his announcement to steal the media spotlight from my man winning the straw poll today?

  4. Aren't Huntsman and Gingrich polling around 1%?

I'm really hoping Romney's '12 run is goign to be like Giuliani's in '08. So much media hype, but when the primaries came he lost to Paul every time.
