The Warsh-Jeb Bush piece could have been titled, "Read Our Op-Ed, No More Anti-Free Market Policy."
It's chock-full of anti-big government rhetoric:
Cutting spending is essential. It also supports phony anti-government activity:
---
If banks are "too big to fail," they are too big. They must be allowed to succeed or fail on their own merit, without any hint of government support
---
An effective growth strategy confronts tough challenges before they become intractable. The strategy is a threat to those who take refuge in our burdensome tax code, and it is a great source of encouragement to those who seek higher rates of return on physical and human capital. Hence, fundamental tax reform—dramatically lowering tax rates for individuals and companies while eliminating loopholes, deductions and credits—is critical to economic growth.
.---
Achieving strong growth requires the free flow of capital, goods and ideas. We have world-class products and services to sell to the growing middle class in emerging markets. We must find our voice to resist the rising tide of economic protectionism and recognize the job-creating benefits of our pending free trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama."Tax reform" is always about higher taxes and "Free Trade" agreements are always about trade benefits for corporate elitist.
Make no mistake, this Op_Ed is about Jeb Bush preparing the way for a potential presidential run. But, America needs more Bush promises as much as it needs a return of the Black Plague.
Jeb missed his chance for president when he lost to Lawton Chiles in Fla in 1994.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Jeb see that his brother ruined the Bush name for years.
ReplyDeleteWe need another Bush president like we need a hole in the head.
ReplyDeleteIs Jeb Skull and Bones as well?
ReplyDeleteI can't stand Obama but I would vote for him before I would vote for a big government parasite like Jeb Bush. Hopefully his last name will keep him out of the mix. Our state is screwed up massively today thanks to his pandering to government workers for votes. We have thousands of pension millionaires being made every year thanks to Jeb.
ReplyDeletePast family performance is no guarantee of future returns.
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha! I'm joking. There all a bunch of crooks.
He was traveling the country talking about how wonderful No Child Left Behind has been just a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteNow he's "small government"?
No thanks. I'll stick with my plain old Ron Paul.
I wish that the whole Bush clan would retire to their own private Isle of Capri and shut the hell up.
