For the record, the evil one, through Soros Fund Management, bought 193,271 shares of Amazon, bringing his position to 206,016 shares,according to an SEC filing made yesterday. The stock closed yesterday at $218.93 giving his stake a current value of approximately $45 million.
There are 461 million shares of Amazon stock outstanding, so Soros is unlikely to have much influence at the company with his current position. It appears to be just an investment position. In other words, it sounds like he is hearing good things about the new Kindle Fire.
