Occupy Wall Street Protesters Attempt Citizen's Arrest of Goldman Sachs CEO

Approximately 300 protesters gathered outside the Goldman Sachs headquarters in Manhattan on Thursday to deliver a guilty 'verdict' to Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman's CEO, reports New York Daily News.

Protesters demanded immediate imprisonment of Blankfein.

Protesters had staged a 'people's trial' for Blankfein at Zuccotti Park earlier in the day. On their march to Goldman Sachs' building, the protesters shouted "Goldman sucks."

At least 15 protesters were later arrested with some protesters scuffling with police as they were dragged away.

Protesters also caught wind that former president George W. Bush was in the building, prompting them to shout "Arrest George Bush."

  2. Its one thing to demand justice its quite another to justify a lynch mob. Its interesting how these protesters can't see that they are at risk of becoming as evil as everything they are protesting against. What is most disgusting so far in this #ows movement is how the certain politicians, union leaders and academia are exploiting the ignorance of these protesters to do their bidding for them. Academia has already received dividends for its involvement with the student loan executive order from TOTUS.

  3. It might be for the wrong reasons, but they've got the right idea. Hopefully they target Benny boy too.

  4. I wonder what specific crimes and what evidence they have against Lloyd? Goldman is certainly a big part of our corrupt system, but you still need specific charges and evidence.

  5. If they had a trial, did they have anyone defending the man doing God's work on Wall Street?

  6. Lloyd Blankfein is just a scapegoat.
There are many people more culpable than he was.

  7. "...Lloyd Blankfein is just a scapegoat..."

Okay, I will only consider him a first course. But, I am ready to eat the schmucks/shysters. Figuratively, of course.

  8. FuckfuckfuckfuckFUCK!!!

LBlank is (probably) evil, and probably (like 99.999%) guilty of trying to destroy the world. But even the most evil, most degenerate, most reprehensible have a right to a fair trial. What the #OWS people are saying is that the system has been so compromised, so twisted, so corrupted by those that control it that they doubt a fair trial is possible. Tried by his "peers" he would walk free.

But, this is how The French Revoluiotion of Socialist "Equality and Fraternity" started.

We don't want that. The .01% may have pushed the proles too far...they may have made "fair and equitable" trials impossible. When the king- I mean president- can kill anyone at will, it makes it harder to stop the mob when they thirst for blood...

This should scare everyone who reads it.

  10. I tend to agree with David. The ideal outcome would be for the cops to just let these delta bravos carry out their 'citizens arrests' on these power elite insiders. The powerful deserve to have their plans for the day messed up. But besides inconvenience to the state capitalists we could see some serious blowback onto the state socialist pretenders too. Especially when these vigilantes discover they have not a legal leg to stand on -and for their efforts - they themselves would be open to major civil and criminal risks. It would be good to see both sets of enemies squirm!!
