The Terrible William F. Buckley

Over at LRC, Travis Holte has posted a fascinating interview with Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt about the Skull and Bones and their influence in the United States.

Iserbyt's father and grandfather were both Skull and Bones members. She has also written extensively on S&B. The entire interview is worth a listen, if you have the time, but what really caught my ear was her short comments on William F. Buckley. At the 8:56 mark, she names the players in publishing that are Skull and Bones member. Her comments on WFB are a good starting point for a historian who may want to consider the true role WFB played in the American conservative movement.
