Ron Paul's 'Attensity' Results

Brant Barney emails:

Hi Robert,

The company I work for analyzes text from social media channels. We generated reports to determine how the candidates performed based on social media conversations happening around the web during the debate.

The media always picks the so called "winner" of the debate, so it is interesting to see the analysis without the media bias.

I thought you might be interested in seeing the results:

Keep up the great work with EPJ, it is a daily read for me.

Cheers,
Brant

  1. "We do not show non-sentiment or neutral topics here, but the microphone issue that Ron experienced did result in high traffic."

Hahaha, I can just imagine other Ron Paul supporters after the microphone issue "Wow, the establishment WOULD give Paul a bad microphone so he wouldn't be able to speak properly!"

  2. Paul was criticizing so-called "chickenhawks," or politicians who are hawkish about going to war but personally shirked the opportunity to serve in the U.S. military.

"I think people who don't serve when they could and they get three or four or even five deferments have no right to send our kids off to war," said Paul in a clear reference to Gingrich.

Gingrich responded: "I was married with a child."

To which Paul famously shot back: "When I was drafted, I was married and had two kids, and I went."

Paul finished his sentence with pursed lips and a steely gaze. The crowd was silent for a moment. Then, it broke out in applause.

  3. I'm not sure I believe this. "Lame asshole" didn't show up under Mitt Romney, and I'm pretty sure I used that a couple hundred times on Twitter during the debate.
